With the smoky, woodsy scent of turmeric mixed with an undertone of zesty floral from the bergamot, 'Heal Your Hide' has a unique and earthy scent. This balm contains our 100% grass-fed, grass-finished pure suet tallow, turmeric oil, bergamot oil, aloe vera oil, castor oil and almond oil. This combination of carefully chosen essential oils can help with blemished, acne prone, sun damaged, dry and mature skin. Listed below are the ingredients and their believed beneficial properties:

Grass-fed tallow

Tallow’s fatty acid profile closely resembles that of human skin, leading to good absorption without clogging the pores, which helps replenish and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, preventing moisture loss and protecting against irritants. The vitamins A, K, E and D help stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, leading to firmer, more youthful skin. The antioxidant properties help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and environmental pollution, contributing to a healthier, more glowing complexion. Tallow’s anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe irritated skin, reduce redness associated with conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and improve uneven skin tone. The nutrient dense nature of tallow provides essential elements that nourish skin cells and promotes overall skin health.

Turmeric

Due to the antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, it is prized for its effectiveness in reducing blemishes, acne and wrinkles, aiding the healing of minor wounds, eczema and psoriasis, and fighting the signs of aging.

Bergamot

An anti-inflammatory, Bergamot can help to reduce swelling, minimise growths and repair sores. Antibacterial properties in Bergamot act as a natural skin cleanser, helping combat acne and soothing more serious skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is well known for its vast beneficial properties and contains minerals (Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Chromium , Selenium), vitamins (A, B, C, E, folic acid), amino acids and active components including enzymes and polysaccharides. This versatile product is commonly used in Sun Care and After Sun Products, First Aid Creams, Hand and Body Lotions, Hair Conditioners, Facial Moisturisers, Shaving Products, Bath Oils, Ointments, and Oil-Based Cosmetics.

Castor Oil

Thanks to its rich Ricinoleic acid content, a rare and highly valued monounsaturated fatty acid, Castor Oil contains extensive anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Other constituents like Linoleic and Oleic acids help to moisturise, soften and nourish the skin, enhancing the oil’s emollient properties. Linoleic acid in Castor Oil creates a protective barrier on the skin that works to provide a shield against harsh environmental conditions. The many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory action within Castor Oil help reduce swelling and calm itchy and uncomfortable skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Its fatty acid profile promotes the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that help to maintain skin elasticity and strength, and aid in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Almond Oil

Almond Carrier Oil is naturally high in proteins and antioxidants known to fight free radicals and promote healthier skin. Packed with Vitamins A, B and E, Omega 3, Magnesium, Calcium, Oleic and linoleic Acid, Almond Oil properties have been seen to help treat acne, fade scars and heal sun damaged skin. Light and easily absorbed into the skin, Almond Oil is particularly beneficial for soothing dry, chapped or irritated skin. Sweet Almond Oil has been seen to improve skin complexion, remove flaky and dead skin cells and reduce dark circles around the eyes.

Directions for use: Use it as a morning moisturiser or a night time balm. Apply a small amount to clean skin on your face and décolletage (or really anywhere on your body), a little goes a long way!
